My research focuses on the investigation of the ringdown phenomena exhibited by remnant black holes resulting from the coalescence of binary black hole systems. My focus extends to the study of black hole perturbation theory and the study of gravitational waves as tools for testing general relativity. Notably, I have extended the Teukolsky formalism to modified theories of gravity, and a significant portion of my current research involves the application of this extended formalism to analyze perturbations in both non-rotating and rotating black holes within modified theories of gravity.
In addition to these pursuits, my recent endeavors encompass the exploration of extreme mass ratio inspirals and the self-force phenomenon within the framework of modified gravity. Concurrently, I am actively involved in the development of novel techniques aimed at enhancing our ability to study perturbations of black holes, within the framework of general relativity and beyond.

Vita
I am originally from India, where I completed my Bachelor in Science and Master in Science with a major in Physics from the University of Mumbai in 2014 and 2016 respectively. During this, I was also awarded the prestigious Inspire scholarship for research by the Government of India. I later joined Montana State University in 2017 for my doctorate and transferred to University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where I completed my doctorate in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Yunes. My thesis was titled "Gravitational wave ringdown as a probe to test General Relativity". I joined AEI as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2023.
